The Institute applies both qualitative and quantitative methods in its work. In implementing the projects, we conduct national, regional and business representative surveys.
With the quantitative approach, the information is gathered by means of face-to-face, personal and telephone interviews. Interviews are conducted with the PAPI, CAPI and CATI methods. We have a specially equipped telephone studio, which allows direct control of the interviewers’ work. According to the objectives of the survey, a wide range of sample types is used – random samples, stratified samples, two-stage block samples, quota, combined or two-stage random-quota samples. The information gathered is combined with other available for the surveyed area, which provides better authenticity and reliability of the assessment and forecast done.
With the qualitative approach, for the needs of its clients, the Institute carries out focus groups and in-depth interviews. We conduct focus groups on various topics and target groups – population, GPs, medical specialists, experts from all spheres and many others. Focus-groups have been conducted for UNDP, RFI, Monsanto-Bulgaria, the PHARE Program, the SARA Program, Bulgartabac Holding, Sanofy-Aventis, Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Astra Zeneca, Actavis, Sopharma, Nova TV, ТV7, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the Ministry of Education, the Tax Administration and many others. The institute has a studio specially designed for focus groups with a separate room for the client to observe. It provides audio and video recordings of the discussions.
We also carry out surveys using the mystery shopper method and on-line research.
